About The Position

Johnson Controls is hiring a Sprinkler Inspector to perform inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA requirements and State Department of Health requirements. The role requires accurately identifying and documenting deficiencies found during inspections. The position also calls for customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of field experience with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
Functional knowledge of wet and dry sprinkler systems.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Ability to stand or climb stairs and ladders for extended periods.
Ability to lift at least 40 pounds without assistance.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good written and oral communication skills and good organizational skills.
Must pass a pre-employment security, drug, and background check.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows, and standpipes.
Virginia Sprinkler License.
NICET II certification.

Responsibilities
