About The Position

Cen Cal Fire Systems, a division of Sciens Building Solutions, is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install various types of fire sprinkler systems and components. This key role on a growing team requires attention to detail in work involving NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. Problem-solving and effective communication with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor are integral to the position.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Required CalFire Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification card.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13.
• Ability to provide quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Ability to use trade-appropriate tools to perform pipe-fitting duties efficiently and safely.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of NFPA 20 and NFPA 24.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Install new systems and complete retrofit and tenant improvement projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe to trade specifications.
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers.
• Follow OSHA safety standards.
