About The Position

Cen Cal Fire Systems, a division of Sciens Building Solutions, is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to install fire sprinkler systems and components. This key role supports a growing team and requires attention to detail in work on NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The fitter must be able to problem-solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• CalFire Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification card.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13.
• Ability to provide quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of NFPA 20 and NFPA 24.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Install fire sprinkler systems for new, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects.
• Cut, thread, and groove pipe to trade specifications.
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers and helpers.
• Follow OSHA safety standards.
• Use appropriate trade tools to perform pipe-fitting duties efficiently and safely.
