About The Position

Prepares wooden pieces for painting and finishing by preparing surfaces, mixing and matching paints, and applying undercoats and finish coats with a spray gun. Supports the overall production process and works to achieve quality standards through effective use of equipment, materials, supplies, and labor. The role includes setting up and cleaning spray equipment, inspecting finished work, documenting chemical usage, following safety procedures, and participating in continuous improvement activities. Work is on-site.

Requirements

1–3 years of production experience in the same or a similar position.
Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting process.
Ability to print and speak simple words in English.
Must pass the respiratory protection program.
Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Set up spray pumps, spray guns, and spray booths according to approved painting techniques.
Follow color-match procedures and promptly report any mismatch.
Inspect completed work for proper operation and adherence to work orders, standard work, and safety requirements.
Clean spraying equipment and tools using approved solvents.
Enter, transcribe, store, and maintain written information for horizontal and vertical communication.
Perform 5S activities according to the corresponding level.
Ensure the safe and proper operation of tools and equipment and follow company policies and safety procedures.
Complete the daily log for chemical-material usage.
Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modifications to improve efficiency and best practices.
Participate in company-sponsored continuous improvement activities.
Communicate assertively with the different areas involved in the production process.
