Finishing Spray Operator

About The Position

CCN International is seeking an experienced spray finisher to apply smooth, consistent, high-quality off-the-gun topcoat finishes to custom, high-end wood furniture, case goods, conference tables, and custom components. The role involves preparing surfaces and finishing materials, operating and adjusting spray equipment, inspecting and correcting finishes, and maintaining equipment and safe, orderly finishing-room practices. Work takes place in a finishing room and spray booth and involves physical, hands-on tasks.

Requirements

Professional spray-finishing experience in furniture, cabinetry, architectural millwork, or a related setting.
Demonstrated ability to achieve high-quality off-the-gun topcoat finishes.
Knowledge of surface preparation, coating application, drying requirements, and finish-defect correction.
Ability to follow work orders, finish specifications, product instructions, and safety information.
Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and effective communication.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to stand and perform repetitive spraying and sanding, bend, reach, and handle components of varying sizes, including lifting or moving 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Apply sealers and topcoats to wood furniture and custom components.
Independently set up and adjust spray equipment for proper flow, pressure, and spray patterns.
Prepare finishing materials and surfaces, including mixing, sanding, cleaning, and masking.
Inspect finishes for coverage, sheen, and surface quality, and identify and correct defects.
Maintain spray equipment and follow finishing-room safety and housekeeping procedures.
