Spotter/Shag Driver- 3rd shift
About The Position
This position at JBS USA involves moving trailers from dock doors to the drop yard and moving warehouse trailers as needed. The role requires observing equipment operation, reporting malfunctions or safety concerns, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting colleagues. The driver will also perform pre-trip safety inspections, fuel spotter trucks and trailers, wash the inside of trailers when necessary, and start/stop units to pre-cool trailers. Communication with the Load Coordinator, Shipping Supervisor, Forklift operators, and Security Guards is essential. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- CDL Class A required
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to apply common sense
- Ability to work in seasonal temperatures (year round temperatures)
- Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day
- Ability to multitask and work quickly
Responsibilities
- Moves trailers from the dock doors to drop yard, moves warehouse trailers as needed
- Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Assists others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
- Performs Pre-trip Safety Inspections of truck each day
- Fuels Spotter trucks and fuels trailers as needed
- Washes inside of trailer when needed
- Starts and stops units to pre-cool trailers as needed
- Communicates with Load Coordinator, Shipping Supervisor, Forklift operator and Security Guards
- Performs other duties as directed.
