About The Position

This position works in the distribution area of the plant and is responsible for operating a shag (semi-tractor) truck with hydraulic lifts to move refrigerated trailers and tankers around a warehouse or storage yard. Requirements

• Valid Class Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and efficiently and effectively manage time.
• Must be able to work flexible hours; possibly to work overtime, 6 to 7 days per week during peak times, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (preferred) and able to work with a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

• Using a semi-tractor, move refrigerated trailers and tankers around the plant yard and some to the cold storage warehouse across from the facility.
• Perform routine light maintenance on equipment (cleanliness, pre-inspection, etc.).
• Set and monitor unit temperatures according to individual customer requests.
• Complete shag fee and wash out tickets.
• Open and close trailers doors and seal (push and pull).
• Crawl up and down a ladder to and from semi-tractor approximately 25 times or more per hour.
