About The Position

Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing is looking for a Spotter Driver to keep trailers moving safely and efficiently through our yard. This role involves positioning trailers at dock doors, tracking trailer movements, coordinating with shipping and receiving, and assisting with warehouse work as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL required
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow radio and written instructions.
• Excellent situational awareness and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer or tablet skills for log tracking and communication.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 1+ year experience operating a yard truck or spotter truck in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard locations and dock doors, positioning them accurately for loading and unloading.
• Maintain accurate records of trailer movements, locations, and times.
• Apply seals to loaded trailers and deliver load paperwork between trailers and the office.
• Communicate clearly by radio with team members, drivers, and carriers.
• Verify trailer locations and assist with yard inventory.
• Operate a forklift and support other warehouse tasks as assigned.
• Keep work areas clean and promptly report damage, safety concerns, and equipment issues.
