Evening/Weekend Spot Quote Specialist
About The Position
We are looking for a Spot Quote Specialist to provide urgent, transactional pricing on shipments during our Weekend and Evening shifts. This role involves capturing transactional shipper opportunities during afterhours shifts by providing spot quote pricing. You will field quote requests, providing responses in a timely manner, leveraging truck in hand options and/or market knowledge to service the customer and increase profitability for TransLoop. You will also collaborate with internal teammates in TransLoop's Customer Sales, Operations and Carrier Sales departments to showcase industry-leading service and communication at all hours of the day. Additionally, you will act as an extension of the Customer Sales teammates on their respective accounts and exemplify TransLoop’s pillars in every interaction: Transparent. Reliable. Collaborative.
Requirements
- Relevant supply chain, sales, operational or customer service experience
- 3-5 years logistics experience required
- Knowledge of truckload markets, supply and demand relationships, seasonal trends and industry specifics surrounding pricing
- Exemplify a proven track record of high performance and dependability
- Strong writing and speaking skills
Nice To Haves
- Supply chain, logistics or sales-related degree
- Experience selling or operating enterprise-level accounts in 3PL
