About The Position

PORT MADISON ENTERPRISES SUQUAMISH CLEARWATER CASINO RESORT Sportsbook/Keno Cashier General Position Summary: Responsible for efficient and timely exchange of cash or winning tickets for guests and supporting the Sports Betting operation. Provide excellent customer service, selling tickets and ensuring the proper payouts are provided. Writes Keno tickets through a computerized Keno System, calls Keno games, marks numbers called and verifies draw results before entering into the system.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending.
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work evenings based on a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all Sportsbook rules for games in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Maintains a cash bank, documenting all transactions and balancing the bank at the end of each shift.
  • Responsible to properly account for all transactions and necessary paperwork
  • Responsible for placing wagers as requested by guests and verifying and processing winning tickets
  • Ensures that all information is accurately entered into the till
  • Properly processes any voided wagers
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
  • Effectively and consistently communicates sports betting rules and provides betting assistance to guests in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Remains alert to any peculiar betting patterns as “proxy betting” and report promptly to the Supervisor
  • Consistently maintains visibility in guest areas and immediately responds to any guest questions and/or concerns
  • Aware of popular lines and odds in the Sportsbook
  • Safeguards the companies confidential and privileged information that is obtained as a result of normal working procedures
  • Provides Clearly Superior Customer Service to all internal and external customers
  • Responsible to start the Keno game
  • Collects and delivers tickets and cash to customers outside the Keno Lounge
  • Keeps existing games in tact
  • Follows all Keno rules for all games in accordance with established casino policies and procedures
  • Rechecks tickets upon request
  • Pays winning tickets
  • Notifies supervisor and/or Department Manager of any potential irregularities noted in a customer’s play or other transactions during the shift
  • Maintains and is responsible for individually assigned cash drawer/bank and its balance
  • Responsible for all cash transactions during assigned shift
  • Responsible for opening and closing games including the completion of reports
  • Works with the department’s employees to maintain a clean and friendly Sportsbook/Keno area
  • Performs in a professional manner while actively practicing the Customer Service Standards
  • Assists in stocking department supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
