About The Position

This role is responsible for handling cash transactions, placing and verifying wagers, and providing assistance to guests in a fast-paced sportsbook environment. The cashier must maintain accuracy in all transactions, adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The position requires effective communication, alertness to potential issues, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

Ability to obtain a cash bank.
Ability to maintain and balance a cash bank.
Ability to document all transactions accurately.
Ability to place wagers and process winning tickets.
Ability to accurately enter information into the till.
Ability to process voided wagers.
Knowledge of Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
Effective and consistent communication skills.
Ability to provide betting assistance.
Alertness to peculiar betting patterns.
Ability to report issues promptly to a Supervisor.
Ability to maintain visibility and respond to guest inquiries.
Awareness of popular lines and odds in the Sportsbook.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
Ability to safeguard confidential information.
Ability to maintain a clean work area.

Responsibilities

Obtain a cash bank from the Sportsbook vault or casino cage.
Maintain a cash bank, documenting all transactions and balancing the bank at the end of each shift.
Properly account for all transactions and necessary paperwork.
Place wagers as requested by guests and verify and process winning tickets.
Ensure that all information is accurately entered into the till.
Properly process any voided wagers.
Follow the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.
Effectively and consistently communicate sports betting rules and provide betting assistance to guests in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Remain alert to any peculiar betting patterns such as “proxy betting” and report promptly to the Supervisor.
Consistently maintain visibility in guest areas and immediately respond to any guest questions and/or concerns.
Be aware of popular lines and odds in the Sportsbook.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Safeguard the Company’s confidential and privileged information.
Clean up individual work area and help maintain the Sportsbook’s cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
