About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for part-time Sports Staff positions. Requirements

Minimum Age: Must be 16 years with a valid work permit
Experience in customer service preferred.
Must have experience in sports.
Must be able to work with children ages 3 to 15 years old.
Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).

Responsibilities

Inspect, prepare, and maintain sports fields and equipment to create a safe, organized, and enjoyable environment for all participants.
Guide participants through registration and check-in, manage program paperwork, and deliver clear communication of program details.
Officiate games and maintain accurate scoring when assigned.
Supervise activities, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment where every participant feels valued and supported.
Engage with participants and families to foster a friendly atmosphere, answer questions, and share information that enhances their overall experience.
