About The Position

Provo Parks and Recreation is hiring recreational sports specialists to staff various programs within the Recreation Division. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed in the description to be eligible for consideration. There are various sports positions available for the Fall 2026 season, including Youth Soccer Official, Cross Country Coach, Start Smart/Camp Coaches, Site Supervisor, Scorekeeper, Youth Flag Football Official, Adult Flag Football Official, and Adult Volleyball Official.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of the sport (or sports) to which the applicant is applying (i.e., basketball, wrestling).
• At least 16 years of age to for most positions; 18 years or older to perform as Site Supervisor.
• Officiating experience is preferred for related positions.

Responsibilities

• Referee, supervise, or keep score at a variety of youth and adult sports (basketball).
• Work with children during sports camps to improve abilities/skills in various sports.
• Provide both instruction and lesson plans for program participants.
• Oversee staff and all program operation as site supervisor at a given location.
• Assist office staff as needed and perform other related duties as required.
