About The Position

Optum WA, known locally as The Everett Clinic, is seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join their team in the Everett/Arlington area. This role offers a dynamic clinical practice with access to advanced diagnostic resources, multidisciplinary support, and the ability to develop special interests within sports medicine. The Everett Clinic joined Optum in 2019, and this partnership allows for expanded services and locations. Optum provides clinicians with the resources, data, and support of a global organization, fostering a collaborative environment guided by diversity and inclusion. The Sports Medicine team is composed of experienced providers who care for referred Optum patients within the community.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Sports Medicine Fellowship
Proficient in ultrasound guided procedures and/or strong desire to learn
Active, unrestricted medical license in Washington or ability to obtain
Valid DEA license

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive non-operative sports medicine care for athletes and active individuals of all ages
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and conditions
Perform ultrasound-guided procedures and joint injections as appropriate
Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, athletic trainers, and primary care providers
Evaluate sports-related injuries, concussion management, overuse injuries, and return-to-play decisions
