About The Position

Dollamur is seeking detail-conscious and dedicated individuals to join their Art Department team as Sports Mat Painters. This role involves hand-painting logos, designs, and letters on large-scale sports mats used in various sports like wrestling, UFC, judo, and gymnastics. The company is a worldwide leading manufacturer in this field and is experiencing growth, with a new facility nearing completion. No prior painting experience is necessary as training will be provided, but a desire and dedication to be a successful part of the team is essential. Requirements

Detail oriented.
Good with measurements.
Attention to detail.
Self-starter; flexible, steady hands.
Ability to speak, read & write in English.
Willing to work OT and/or some weekends as required.
Must be able to work on your feet and knees, bend, stoop, and lift consistently for all scheduled hours.
Must be able to manipulate and move material weighing up to 100 lbs. either rolling, lifting, or using a hand cart.
Must use eyes to focus on color-matching art placement and quality of the product.

Nice To Haves

Experience with skilled trades (construction, woodworking, etc.).
Experience using hand-cutting tools, tape measure, and straight edge.

Responsibilities

Hand painting logos, designs, and letters on large-scale sports mats.
Frequently kneeling/crawling on a mat while painting logos, measuring, and cutting.
Preparing painting surfaces for customized artwork.
Putting rolls together properly and checking for defects.
Learning to read and understand layouts with artist assistance.
Translating information to decorate mats.
Ensuring attention to all details impacting the mat, including dimensions, logo reproduction, location, and sizing.
Material handling: moving rolls, putting mats down, and picking them up when complete.
Preparing rolls for packaging.
