About The Position

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Painter for their 1st shift operations. The Painter will be responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including setup, operation, inspection, and material handling. This role requires working safely, productively, and cooperatively in accordance with company policies and procedures. Requirements

Previous manufacturing and/or painting experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math skills.
Possess common sense, a positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance.
Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis.
Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with people.
Extensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking.
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

Inspect paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Clean and maintain spray painting equipment.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.
Mix, match, and manage inventory of paints, solvents, and other materials.
Understand and follow manufacturing specifications and processes.
Identify and address issues related to the painting process.
Track daily usage of paints, thinners, and other solvents.
Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.
Complete all tasks as assigned by department leadership.
