About The Position
The Westfield Area YMCA is hiring part-time Sports Instructors to organize, supervise, and teach sports classes. Instructors help participants learn basic sport-specific skills while supporting the YMCA’s philosophy and goals for character development. Fall youth sports programs include basketball, football, kickball, soccer, T-ball, and other sports. The Westfield Area YMCA is a nonprofit human service organization dedicated to helping individuals and families reach their full potential through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Requirements
- At least 16 years old.
- Enthusiastic attitude and good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of various sports, such as T-ball, basketball, soccer, and track.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Organize sports classes.
- Supervise sports classes and participants.
- Instruct sports classes and teach basic sport-specific skills.
- Support the YMCA’s philosophy and goals for character development.
