About The Position

The Youth Sports Instructor leads youth sports programs for children, including children ages 3–5. The role involves creating basic sports activities and drills, maintaining accurate program records, and refereeing and scorekeeping. The instructor must be able to keep young children engaged and move quickly through transitions. Weekend and evening availability is required. This is a part-time position paying $11.30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Prior experience working with children ages 3–5.
• Knowledge of various sports and how to teach them at a very basic level.
• Ability to maintain the interest of young children, think ahead, and move quickly during transitions.
• High energy and initiative.
• Ability to work weekends and evenings.
