About The Position

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor to lead youth sports programming and help children develop age-appropriate skills and reach their potential. The role includes on-site instruction in sports such as basketball, soccer, and football, using YMCA curriculum. Instructors create a safe, clean, and positive learning environment and provide excellent service to members and participants. The position offers support and training, opportunities to learn and grow, and the chance to contribute to a nonprofit organization serving the community.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent knowledge of instruction in the program area, such as basketball, soccer, or football.
• Ability to perform activities requiring sustained concentration and attention.
• Availability for mornings, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site youth sports instruction, including stretching, warmups, activities, and games for the respective sport.
• Teach age-appropriate skills using the YMCA curriculum for the respective sport.
• Provide a safe and clean environment for members and participants to learn YMCA programs.
• Lead classes with positivity and enthusiasm.
• Provide excellent service to members and participants.
