About The Position

Temple University's Division of Student Affairs is searching for a Sports Club Coordinator. This position serves as a member of Campus Recreation and reports to the Assistant Director of Programs. The coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the Sports Club program, including recruiting, hiring, and training student staff. They will also develop and implement policies and procedures related to the Sports Club program, document processes, and assist with marketing efforts for the clubs and the overall program in collaboration with club officers and the department marketing team. The role requires flexible shifts between 6 am and 11 pm, including weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least two years’ full-time, professional experience in Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals inside and outside of the university.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills along with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Ability to translate and communicate the mission of a complex, urban university.
  • Ability to persuasively represent University goals to various constituency groups.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts between 6am-11pm as well as weekends when needed.
  • Intensive concentration and excellent listening skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and focus on completion of tasks and objectives while under stress of demanding work schedule.
  • Must maintain a positive and objective approach and attitude, even when confronted with difficult situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages all aspects of the Sports Club program in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Programs.

  • Assists in the general marketing of clubs and the entire sports club program in consideration with club officers and department marketing team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
