Club Sports Facilities Student Assistant
About The Position
This role provides support for club sports, athletic events, and facility upkeep. The student assistant will help with operational needs for camps, clinics, and special events, ensuring facilities remain neat and clean, including locker rooms and public spaces. A key part of the role involves operations at the LaHaye Ice Center, where excellent customer service is expected for skate rentals and sharpening, along with monitoring patron safety. The position also includes supporting various club sports teams and staying informed about industry best practices. Collaboration and promotion of Liberty University's mission are essential. Driving may be required for travel, necessitating a valid driver's license, acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities
- Support for All Athletic and Special Events for Club Sports
- Assist with all operational needs related to camps, clinics, and special events.
- Facility Upkeep and Cleanliness
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure facilities remain neat and clean.
- Clean locker rooms between uses.
- Maintain public spaces, including lobbies, concourses, and restrooms.
- LaHaye Ice Center Operations
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting the public with skate rentals.
- Sharpen rental skates to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor safety by ensuring patrons do not enter restricted or unsafe areas while wearing skates.
- Support various Club Sports teams (e.g., lacrosse, hockey, volleyball, wrestling, triathlon) as needed.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, processes, products, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member, embracing and promoting Liberty University’s mission.
