About The Position
CGC Cards is seeking experienced Sports Card Graders to join our new service dedicated to expert and impartial sports cards grading. CGC - Sports Cards is Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) affiliate dedicated to third-party authentication and grading services for sports cards and memorabilia. Our sports card and memorabilia grading service will use world-class expertise, cutting-edge technology, and operational excellence to join the other CCG companies in quickly becoming the leader in its category.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of both vintage and modern sports cards across all major US sports
- Expansive knowledge as it relates to card printing, including printing processes, variants and errors
- 1 – 3 years of direct grading experience as a card grader or as a dealer/collector with extensive grading submission history
- Detail-oriented with the ability to detect counterfeit and altered cards with a high level of accuracy
- Maintains the highest level of integrity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills to achieve production goals and maximize productivity
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally as business need arise
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of other sports collectibles areas is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Researches, identifies, and authenticates collectible sports cards
- Assesses the condition, quality and furthermore grades the item using established standards
- Meets established production goals while maintaining superior grading standards
- Entry of grading data into computer system
