About The Position
HOKALI is seeking an enthusiastic Gymnastics Educator to lead after-school gymnastics classes for elementary school students in Selma, California. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, have a background in gymnastics, and are committed to fostering a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment. The educator will be responsible for leading structured classes, ensuring student safety, teaching fundamental gymnastics skills, creating an inclusive atmosphere, planning age-appropriate activities, managing student behavior positively, maintaining attendance records, and preparing/organizing equipment.
Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- Previous gymnastics coaching, teaching, or competitive gymnastics experience preferred
- Experience working with children is highly preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability and willingness to complete 3+ hours of required online training before the program begins
Responsibilities
- Lead structured gymnastics classes for elementary-aged students
- Ensure student safety while teaching fundamental gymnastics skills
- Create an encouraging and inclusive learning environment
- Plan age-appropriate activities that promote coordination, confidence, and physical development
- Manage student behavior using positive reinforcement
- Maintain accurate attendance and communicate any incidents when necessary
- Prepare and organize equipment before and after each class
