About The Position
The individual will perform any work in connection with the installation, operation, and maintenance of the underground and aerial cable systems. Requirements
- A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
- Ability to successfully pass the Construction and Skilled Trades Test (CAST) and the Agility Assessment.
- Possess a valid motor vehicle license.
- Qualified to obtain or maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location for trouble call assignments.
- Three years total in Underground experience.
Nice To Haves
- Splicing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform any work in connection with the installation, operation, and maintenance of the underground and aerial cable systems.
- Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
