The Splicer/Cable Splicer Helper assists operations with materials, hand tools, and equipment used to install and maintain cables and the underground system. The work includes indoor and outdoor duties, sometimes in adverse weather, for extended periods. During trouble-call assignments, the employee must be able to report to the reporting base within approximately one-half hour. The successful candidate must complete Splicer T.M.P. (Training Merit Progression) requirements and qualify as a Splicer at the end of the training period. The position may require emergency and planned overtime. Employees may also receive an Emergency Restoration assignment and be called to assist during emergencies outside their normal responsibilities, work hours, and location. Applicants who require immigration-related sponsorship to begin employment with Eversource will not be considered. Bargaining-unit employees under the TEAL contract receive first consideration; the position is posted internally and externally, and applicants should submit a resume with their online application.
