About The Position

The Spire Bar Server is responsible for service of beverage and/or food in a friendly, courteous and timely manner resulting in guest satisfaction; keep service station and section clean and organized at all times; serve, pre-bus and re-set tables during the shift; and maintain have significant menu knowledge of both the food and beverage menus. This is a Full-Time position. You must be available to work afternoons, evenings and nights.

Requirements

At least two (2) years of Serving experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant
Experience with POS systems such as Micros or Agilysis
Maricopa County Food Handler Card
TIPS Certified

Nice To Haves

High school graduate or equivalent
Experience in an upscale / luxury dining environment
Hotel / resort experience
Title IV Certification
ServSafe Certified
CPR / First Aid Certified

Responsibilities

Check and maintain proper set-up and cleanliness of service station before, during and after shift.
Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain all specials, promotions and snacks.
Take orders reciting selection of all call and premium brands as requested; maintain memorization of all available drinks. Upsell items as appropriate.
Record the details of the order from the guests, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
Input orders into point-of-sale system to inform the bartender and kitchen of the particulars in the order being placed.
Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Present the guest with the check promptly, thanking them and inviting them to return.
