Spire Bar Busperson/Food Runner (Full-Time) - Arizona Biltmore
About The Position
The Spire Bar Busperson/Food Runner is responsible for working alongside the expeditor and servers to ensure quick and efficient delivery of food from the kitchen. This role also involves stocking the line with utensils, supplies, and china before, during, and after service. During downtime, the Busperson/Food Runner assists staff with bussing tables, resetting, side-work duties, and greeting guests. As a Busperson, responsibilities include ensuring dining areas are clean, tables are cleared and set promptly, and providing guests with water. The role also involves setting up server stations, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, assisting servers with guest requests, clearing courses, cleaning tables, and assisting with buffet setups for events. The position requires a commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience.
- Previous food-running experience.
- Previous table bussing experience.
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Set up the line with premade sauces, presets for appetizers, to-go boxes, ramekins, silverware, and condiments before service.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized expo line and food window.
- Ensure timely delivery of all food items to guests.
- Verify that all food items have the necessary condiments and additions before delivery.
- Run food on trays to guests, offering additional assistance.
- Communicate effectively with Expeditors, Line Cooks, and Chefs regarding order accuracy.
- Maintain a clean expo line floor by spot sweeping.
- Properly store and label condiments during closing.
- Assist servers in any way possible to ensure quality service.
- Demonstrate commitment to preventing injuries and property damage.
- Know and demonstrate correct actions in emergency situations.
- Set up server stations with glassware, pitchers, bus tubs, snack carts, and linen baskets, keeping them stocked.
- Maintain the correct arrangement of chairs, couches, tables, and pillows in the dining area.
- Spot sweep under tables and surrounding areas between guests.
- Ensure server stations remain clean and organized at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Offer water to guests and refill their glasses as needed.
- Clear each course after guests have finished eating, unless instructed otherwise.
- Remove unnecessary items from tables.
- Clean and sanitize tables after guests leave.
- Assist guests with lighting firepits/heaters during winter months.
- Assist with setting up buffet tables, stanchions, event signage, and décor for REO events.
