While reporting to the shift supervisor you will work in production for our tube and core division and be responsible for working in a quick and safe manner. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects in the packing line. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist all required machine and support 17’’ winder equipment set ups.
• Operate, set up, and trouble shoot equipment as required.
• Operate cutter.
• Perform machine preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment related to the carpet yarn line.
• Operate machine on a substitute basis.
• Interpret and understand Oracle production orders and requirements to enter required Oracle data.
• Report and track production information - scrap, machine efficiency, machine down time, paper usage.
• Assist other crew members as required - set ups, packaging aspects, quality requirements, and all other related production specs.
• Document and maintain machine log.
• Report quality measurements and metrics.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and communicate to management.
