About The Position

The SPF Cell Machine Operator performs various tasks involved in manufacturing garage door springs according to customer and product specifications. The position sets up and operates equipment, selects robot program options, monitors workflow through heat treatment, changes tooling, and unloads finished products. The operator also uses computers to complete process tasks, performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting, and carries out daily cleanup and 5S responsibilities. Team members are expected to meet or exceed established key performance indicators. The position is listed for the second shift, with a $1.50 shift differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Manufacturing experience.
Computer programming aptitude for robotic and automated equipment.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in using hand and measurement tools.
High level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
Dependability and willingness to learn.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate equipment.
Select robot program options according to production requirements.
Monitor workflow through the heat treatment process.
Change over equipment and ensure proper tooling is used according to specifications.
Unload finished product onto pallets and/or racks, ensuring proper quantities are in bundles.
Consistently meet or exceed established key performance indicators.
Use computers at different points in the process to complete required tasks.
Complete preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
Complete daily cleanup and 5S responsibilities.
