About The Position

As a D1 Speed & Agility Coach, you'll lead group workouts, provide individualized guidance, and create an environment where athletes build real speed, quickness, and body control. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about movement mechanics, acceleration/deceleration training, and athlete development. D1 Training is an athletic-based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up. Our mission is simple: You pick the goal, we help you get there. We combine expert coaching, proven training systems, and a high-energy environment to help every athlete move faster, change direction better, and perform at a higher level.

Requirements

1+ year of experience coaching speed, agility, or sports performance training.
Strong understanding of sprint mechanics, movement patterns, and injury prevention.
High energy, positive attitude, and ability to motivate others.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
NASM Personal Training Certificate or Equivalent.
CPR/AED/First Aid certification (required).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Provide personal training and individualized training.
Modify workouts to meet athletes at their current ability level and sport.
Help athletes improve linear speed, lateral quickness, agility, and overall performance.
Teach proper sprint mechanics, footwork, cutting technique, and deceleration control.
Design and run ladder, cone, and reactive agility drills tailored to athlete level and sport.
Build strong relationships and maintain regular communication with members.
Start and finish sessions on time while maintaining a high-energy environment.
Support member retention through coaching, accountability, and service.
