Requirements

• Must adhere to American Speech Language & Hearing Association (ASHA/State guidelines) until the notification of Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is obtained.
• Ability to interpret physician orders and request interpretation as necessary.
• Proficiency in administering and interpreting tests and measurements of patients.
• Skill in reviewing patient charts and progress prior to treatment and modifying treatment plans accordingly.
• Ability to develop realistic functional goals based on patient and/or family expectations.
• Capability to instruct and involve patient, family, social worker, nursing staff, and discharge planner in patient's progress and discharge plans.
• Willingness to participate in appropriate meetings.
• Must maintain documentation of all treatments.
• Proficiency in using appropriate modalities and procedures.
• Responsibility to assure appropriate equipment performance prior to each use.
• Ability to provide in-service to staff.

Responsibilities
