About The Position

At Powerback, Speech Language Pathologists help patients improve communication and swallowing and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. The role is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of rehabilitation services, including designing treatment plans and working with patients to carry them out. The therapist develops individualized programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ speech and communication abilities, adapts care to patient needs and varied work settings, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when appropriate. The role also includes teaching patients and caregivers skills that promote independence and productivity, as well as tasks such as cleaning equipment and attending meetings.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent with and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.
