About The Position

The Speech Therapist evaluates patients and develops and implements treatment plans for disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing, and other services prescribed by a physician. The role also assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs to enhance the department.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
• Active license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action.
• Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, free of disciplinary action, or consideration as a Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) on a case-by-case basis if proper supervision can be provided.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider certification upon hire and maintained thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in a hospital setting.
