About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist(SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in Tuba City, AZ. This position involves planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The role requires providing initial evaluations, recommending treatment plans, and partnering with fellow care providers to offer therapy for speech or swallowing function recovery or improvement. Education for patients and families regarding therapy and disorder maintenance is also a key responsibility. The SLP will ensure quality and safe delivery of speech therapy services and accurately document referral information in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements: Must have 2 years of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a school accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Must have and maintain certification of clinical competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA
  • Applicant must possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license from Arizona Department of Health or in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico,
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  • Applicant must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff. All related information required for credentialing must be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, develop and direct Speech Language Pathology Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be defined by the Rehabilitation Clinical Manager, to assure that the highest degree of quality patient care can be maintained at all times
  • Demonstrates commitment, professional growth, and competency, , attending in-services, as required by regulation
  • Works with the Therapy Services Director/Lead Therapist r to ensure the supply of appropriate resources to support the programs, services, organizational structure and staffing levels necessary for quality rehabilitation services
  • In accordance with physician request, provide initial evaluation and recommend appropriate treatment plan
  • Partner with fellow care providers to provide therapy for the recovery or improvement of patient’s speech or swallowing function
  • Provide education to patient and family regarding the therapy and maintenance of the speech or swallowing disorder
  • Evaluation & Development: perform a complete initial evaluation on patients

  • Ensures quality and safe delivery of speech therapy service
  • Accurately and completely documents referral information in a timely manner
