About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - OB for a 13-week travel assignment in Tuba City, AZ. The Obstetric Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments, and ability to work independently in completing assignments. Assists physicians and midwives during examinations and procedures. Provides comprehensive, family centered nursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum periods. Guidelines include physician’s orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies. Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families.

Requirements

  • Minimum of at least 2 years of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery and Labor and Delivery.
  • Must have BLS/BCLS Certification
  • Must have a valid, current, full and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • Must maintain a current valid certification of the following: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • AWHONN Intermediate EFM Certification required within six (6) months of hire
  • AWHONN Advanced EFM Certification required within six (6) months of hire.
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIHSS – NIH Stroke Scale required within six (6) months of hire
  • STABLE Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) within 1 year of hire
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health of pregnant women and developing babies
  • Assist in labor and delivery processes
  • Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns
  • Educate and support expectant mothers on prenatal health
  • Administer medications and manage pain relief during labor
  • Conduct routine tests and fetal monitoring
  • Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare providers
  • Manage and update patient records
  • Respond to emergencies and complications during childbirth
  • Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and families
  • Perform postpartum assessments and screenings
  • Assist with breastfeeding support and education
  • Ensure a sterile and safe environment during delivery
  • Coordinate follow-up appointments and postpartum visits
