About The Position
Good Samaritan Home Care is hiring a Part Time Speech Therapist for the Lawrenceville, IL and Vincennes, IN areas. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in their homes. The Speech Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with families and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active SLP license in Indiana and Illinois and certification (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Must obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification
- One-year Speech Therapy experience in a clinical setting.
- Current Drivers License
- Comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy to patients in their homes, including techniques to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills.
- Customize therapy strategies to meet individual patient goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment goals, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Provide training and support for family members to assist with therapeutic exercise and strategies at home.
