About The Position

Powerback is hiring a Speech Therapist to provide rehabilitation services that help patients communicate, swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. The role is responsible for delivering rehabilitation services effectively and efficiently, designing individualized plans, and working with patients to carry them out. The therapist helps restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ speech and communication abilities while adapting care to each patient and to a variety of settings. The role also involves collaborating with peers, making referrals when needed, training patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity, cleaning equipment, and attending meetings.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders, or a similarly titled area consistent with and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation services effectively and efficiently.
• Design individualized treatment plans and work with patients to execute them.
• Help patients communicate and swallow, and diminish or remediate disorders or deficits.
• Develop programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities.
• Adapt care to individual patient needs and varied work settings.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals so patients can receive appropriate care.
• Train patients and caregivers in skills that promote independence and productivity.
• Clean equipment and attend meetings.
