About The Position
Capitol View Home Health Care is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for PRN home health opportunities throughout Washington, DC. This role offers flexible scheduling and meaningful one-on-one care while helping patients improve communication, cognition, and swallowing.
Requirements
- Active Washington, DC Speech-Language Pathologist License Required
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Dependable transportation to patient visits
- Ability to work independently in patients' homes
- Strong documentation and time-management skills

- Home Health Experience Preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete speech therapy evaluations in patients' homes
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Provide interventions to improve functional communication and independence
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other team members
- Complete progress assessments and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
