About The Position

Here at Southeast Georgia Health System, a Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and utilizes therapeutic techniques for the rehabilitation of patients with speech and language disorders, hearing disorders, and oral motor disorders. Organizes and conducts medically prescribed therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part; helps patient reach maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation principles.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pediatric or geriatric populations.
  • Experience with dysphagia management.
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
