About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a full-time Speech Pathologist to provide home health services to patients in Sevier, Jefferson, and Grainger Counties. The role focuses on preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders in adults, helping patients heal in the comfort of their homes. The advertised pay range is $112,000 to $118,000; compensation may vary based on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The Speech Pathologist also provides aural rehabilitation for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and supplies augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for people with severe expressive or language-comprehension disorders. The position requires a current state-specific, unencumbered speech pathology license, CCC-SLP certification, and current CPR certification. One or more years of speech pathology experience is preferred. Applicants who have not obtained CCC-SLP certification must be considered for the separate SLP Clinical Fellow role.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state where assigned.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Completed graduate coursework and clinical practicum at a college or university with a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language-comprehension disorders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
