About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a Speech Pathologist to provide home health services to adults. The role focuses on preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders. The Speech Pathologist also provides aural rehabilitation for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for people with severe expressive or language comprehension disorders. Other duties may be assigned.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or call. Compensation is listed as $140–$148 per year; the posting notes that compensation may vary based on geographic market, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state where assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Completed graduate coursework and clinical practicum at a college or university with a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities
