About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a full-time, day-shift Speech Pathologist to provide home health care. The role works to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. It also provides aural rehabilitation for people who are deaf or hard of hearing and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for people with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Other duties may be assigned.

Compensation is listed at $106,000–$133,000 and may vary based on geographic market, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Benefit eligibility may vary by position and shift status; participation in some benefits requires enrollment in an Amedisys medical plan.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state assigned.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Completed graduate coursework and clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
