About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a part-time Home Health Speech Pathologist to provide one-on-one care in clients’ homes. The role involves traveling between patients’ homes and working to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adults. It also provides aural rehabilitation and augmentative and alternative communication systems. The schedule is day shift with flexibility. The listed pay is $43.00 to $52.00 per hour. Paid training is noted.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology in the state where assigned to work.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Completed graduate coursework and clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
• Current CPR certification.

• One or more years of experience in speech pathology.

Responsibilities

• Work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provide aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
