About The Position

Requirements

• Pass a competency test approved by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Register as an assistant with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists.
• Have strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• School-based experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer screening protocols.
• Administer therapeutic treatment protocols written by the speech-language pathologist.
• Communicate with students and other professionals to meet students’ emotional needs.
• Obtain case histories and complete observation checklists.
• Manage behavior using appropriately designed management techniques.
• Summarize and record target behaviors during therapy sessions.
