About The Position

This is a full-year replacement position to cover a leave of absence for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves providing speech and language therapy to students, conducting evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with school staff and parents. The position is for a 184-day work year, with benefits and salary in accordance with the LEA Unit A collective bargaining agreement. The start date is August 31, 2026, and the FY26 salary scale may change based on negotiations.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech and Language Pathology or a related field.
DESE licensed as Speech Language Pathologist.
Holds Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or has completed requirements and application with ASHA is pending.
Experience and commitment to working in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning community.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of AAC preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports Instructional programming by providing speech/language therapy to students as required.
Schedules students into appropriate instructional groups.
Provide therapeutic services in both the general education and Speech office to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and student needs.
Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs.
Consults and collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy.
Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services.
Participates in Team and parent meetings.
Responsible for goal writing and occasionally serving as liaison for IEPs.
Keep thorough records of the individual student receiving services.
Assists with mobility, transitioning and personal care as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
