About The Position

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) IDEA Charter Schools · Jacksonville, FL · 2026–27 School Year. This role involves delivering evidence-based speech and language services to students K–12 with various communication needs. The SLP will collaborate with special education teams, general educators, parents, and related services providers to create inclusive, data-driven intervention plans. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from a CAPCSD-accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Valid, unrestricted state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Proof of immunization status and background check clearance per school district requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in school-based SLP (2+ years preferred, new grads welcome)
  • Knowledge of RTI/MTSS frameworks
  • Experience with AAC and assistive technology
  • Bilingual fluency (Spanish or other languages highly valued)
  • Experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and complex communication needs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized and dynamic assessment tools to determine eligibility for services under IDEA, Section 504, and state standards
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans with measurable, functional, and academically relevant goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services across language, articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication domains
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress, treatment effectiveness, and session data
  • Collaborate with special education, general education, and administrative staff to embed language-learning strategies across the school day
  • Participate actively in IEP/ARD meetings and contribute clinical expertise to placement, progress monitoring, and eligibility decisions
  • Maintain ASHA-compliant caseloads and ensure adherence to state and federal special education regulations
