About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is excited to offer a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) opportunity. This is a PRN (as needed) position located at Kendal at Oberlin in Oberlin, OH, within a Long-Term Care setting. The role offers competitive compensation of $45–$55/hr, based on years of experience. You'll have the flexibility to pick your own schedule, work with a collaborative team, and make a meaningful impact by supporting residents’ communication, swallowing, and overall quality of life. The daily caseload offers variety, working with diverse long-term care residents. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
