About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity available for a Speech-Language Pathologist in Cortland, NY! Join a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist role supporting preschool-aged children in both home-based and preschool settings, depending on caseload needs. This is a temporary full-time opportunity with benefits and potential for continued employment, running from September 1, 2026, through December 1, 2026. Full-time hours (35 hours per week) are available, and part-time candidates will also be considered. Earn a competitive pay rate of $40–$43 per hour, with direct and indirect service time compensated. Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans.
  • Educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
