About The Position

HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity available for a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kent County, MD! Provide in-person speech-language pathology services supporting a K–12 school-aged population across multiple school settings, including elementary, middle, and high school levels. This is a full-time school-based position (35 hours/week) starting in the new school year (August 24, 2026), with part-time candidates also considered depending on availability. Enjoy a competitive pay rate of $50–$60 per hour, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and more for full-time employees. This role offers low caseloads due to a smaller district population, with services delivered across multiple school sites in a collaborative, student-focused environment. CFYs are not eligible. In-person attendance is required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligible
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP).
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • CFYs are not eligible.
  • In-person attendance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and clinical observations.
  • Develop accurate diagnoses based on assessment results.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies for speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders; monitor and adjust treatment plans; educate and support patients and families on disorders, treatment strategies, and daily communication improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective patient care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed.
