Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - PRN/As-Needed
About The Position
SummitWest Care is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN (as-needed) home health role. This position is based entirely on client need, meaning work availability can vary weekly. It is ideal for SLPs who seek flexible, meaningful work without guaranteed hours, perhaps to supplement other roles. The role requires clinicians who are curious learners, self-directed, organized, calm, steady, compassionate, and possess strong communication and documentation skills. Home health care is provided in patients' homes, which can sometimes be uncomfortable, cluttered, or unpredictable environments, thus requiring adaptability and emotional steadiness.
Requirements
- Active Colorado SLP license
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- CCC-SLP preferred, not required
Responsibilities
- Provide speech therapy services in patients' homes
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and caregivers
- Educate patients and families
- Communicate changes or concerns clearly
- Complete timely documentation in our EMR (training provided)
